Maureen Denise McCormick, the only child of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father taught school and her mom was a housewife. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was in the company of over 1200 other kids for the part of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared an unmarried family. The show lasted five seasons. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick admitted that in the shows fifth season she was close to losing her virginity to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. In 2008, she revealed in her book Heres the Truth: surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that during season five on the show she almost lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. The incident would have happened as she describes. The timing for our relationship was not right.
