Katja Herbers is a professional musician since she was a small girl. Herbers is the daughter of Vera Beths (violinist) and Werner Herbers (oboist). When she was a child, she was with her mother when she went to America on tour with chamber music ensemble L'Archibudelli. She was introduced to theater by her mother, cellist Anner Brylsma, and father Leonie P Olak. She had a Canadian au pair, and she learned to speak Dutch German and English growing as a young.
